Evaluation of the Effect of Different Glazing Brands on Surface Roughness of Monolithic Zirconia

The effect of glazing on the mechanical properties monolithic high translucent zirconia is widely used to fabricate highly aesthetic and strong dental restorations using CAD-CAM technology. purpose this study was evaluate surface roughness different brands' materials Zirconia. 40 specimens from Zirconia block (VITA YZ®XT Color, Diameter 98.4x14mm height) were prepared by computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing machined (Imes-Icore, 5 axis, COR TEC 250i dry, Germany). samples dimension for test (diameter 10 mm thickness 2 mm) a testing machine profilometer (TR200, Germany), divided into 3 groups depending types brands (VITA, VITA AKZENT® Plus, glaze LT, second group with (Ivoclar Vivadent, IPS e.max Ceram stain liquid, Liechtenstein), third (GC Initial spectrum Austria). data analyzed statistically package social science, (ANOVA) Bonferroni accept or reject statistical hypothesis. For readings, GC had greatest mean value in (0.721±0.014), followed Ivoclar (0.663 ± 0.030), then (0.641±0.021). There significant difference between (VITA&GC) & GC) p-value < 0.05, except Ivoclar, there no association > 0.05 both. glazed paste (powder, fluid) has higher than which lower roughness. results concluded that material displays glaze.
